Saira has been privileged to receive a number of awards. Her educational efforts were rewarded with MA with Hons in Physical Chemistry from Karachi University followed by an MA in History from Queen Mary University of London. She now resides in London and has been intensively developing her classical voice in both Eastern and Western style, something professionals from both worlds of music said could never be done! In Pakistan she received the Shah Latif Award for services to the heritage of Shah Latif Abdul Bhittai and the Sindh Excellence Award. In Konya, Turkey, after her performances at the Mistik Muzik Festival 2021, she was honoured to receive recognition from the custodian of the Rumi shrine along with a warm invitation to return.
