Pakistan’s Permanent Ambassador to the UN and his wife hosted a special dinner in honour of Saira Peter’s international recognition by ‘She Leads the Nations’ Summit held in Washington DC. Saira Peter and her entourage were given a private tour of the UN. Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmed awarded her with an official ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ for her outstanding contribution in promoting the soft cultural image of Pakistan through her unique fusion of Pakistan’s ‘sufi poetry with operatic performance’.
