The Womens’ Leaders Summit at Windsor Castle took place over a long weekend. the summit took place in the Vicar’s Hall (1415) where Shakespeare’s ‘Merry Wives of Windsor’ was performed before Queen Elizabeth I, in 1597. During this time, Saira took part in a panel about the performing arts and was also invited to perform a new aria from the Sufi opera, ‘Marvi’s Tears’. This work is a world-first fusion opera combining Eastern and Western classical music, written especially for her unique voice. Marvi, the heroine, is a female leader celebrated for her bravery in a traditional folk story from the Province of Sindh, Pakistan.
